New Practices New York, a biennial competition since 2006, serves as New York City’s preeminent platform to recognize and promote new and innovative architecture and design firms.
Six promising and pioneering firms were chosen as the New Practices New York 2014 competition winners. The competition honors these firms for their unique approaches to the projects they undertake and for the practices they have established.

The juried portfolio competition is organized by the New Practices Committee of the AIA New York Chapter. To qualify for the competition, practices had to be founded after 2004 and be located within the five boroughs of New York City. The distinguished panel of jurors selected the competition’s winners from 64 entries.
