Help us rename the Heritage Ball! We’re looking for a new name for our gala, one that aligns with the architecture visionaries that the event brings together and signifies our hope and belief in a more just and equitable future. What would YOU name it? Tell us by Friday, July 24! Email your ideas to development@aiany.org.
Since the 1980s, AIA New York and the Center for Architecture have gathered architects, designers, and industry professionals at the Heritage Ball, a fundraising gala that attracts over 1,100 guests. In 2020, it’s become increasingly clear that we’re living in a new and different world, one that calls upon the practice of architecture to confront the future in unexpected, and vital, ways. We need a new name for the event!
The ball, while honoring the world-renowned architectural history of New York City, serves as the single largest funding source for the Center for Architecture, allowing it to fulfill its mission to educate the public about the value of architecture and design alongside its partner, AIA New York. The event celebrates the architects, officials, organizations, and professionals from related industries that continue the city’s commitment to design excellence.
As a reminder, we are working diligently to create a 2020 event that will include enjoyable opportunities for networking and socializing, while maintaining the safety of our guests. We look forward to sharing details with you soon. For any immediate questions, please email development@aiany.org.
