The field of landscape architecture has continued to push the boundaries of creativity, innovation and leadership in the planning, design and development of our built environment. The Annual Design Awards held by the American Society of Landscape Architects, New York Chapter demonstrate this design excellence in action. As noted by the awards Jury, the “diversity, depth, and quality of projects was truly inspiring.” Out of the 58 submissions judged by the Kentucky Chapter of the ASLA, 18 projects were chosen that had “something that elevated them above simply good design and presented solutions that were outside the normal set of design tools.”
The seven firms that won Honor awards and the eight firms that won Merit awards will be celebrated at a Spring Party sponsored by Victor Stanley at the Center for Architecture on April 2 at 5 pm. The award winning projects will be on display in an exhibit at the Center for Architecture sponsored by Longshadow Garden Ornaments from April 3-30.
To find out more about this year’s award winners please see ASLA-NY’s website.
